Minerva is a small space for essays and criticism — writing that takes its time with a painting, a book, a city, an idea. It is not a news outlet. Most of what we publish is unlikely to be urgent, and that is by design.

We occasionally publish short news items when something worth noting happens, but the core of the site is longer-form writing from a small, curated group of contributors.
